My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-air...... Well not exactly my story.
This is the lyrics to "Fresh Prince of Bel-Air" with Will Smith. Some of you know exactly what I am talking about and are probably singing the song in your head. Others, well you might be too young.
Stories. We all LOVE a good story. Hunger Games. Harry Potter. Narnia. The list goes on and on. I grew up listening to my parents stories and my grandparents stories. I grew up with "now you know the rest of the story" with Paul Harvey.
I have been wanting to write and wanting to blog and not sure what to write about. I started in the right direction. But veered off course some where. The enemy does that. (Cough) Not seeking The Lord for complete insight and direction does that. GUILTY!
When I first started this blog I kept hearing your story. Not sure what that meant. But after finally sharing my testimony with a few people and having people read it- a friend made a comment "I love your stories"- I was slightly thrown off my that. But God said nope. She is right, she is telling you. Listen. your stories.....
BUT sometimes it is scary to really put yourself out there. Your failures. Your dirty mess. To have people see how screwed up you really are! These are my thoughts on my stories. However, His thoughts were.... overcome by the blood of the lamb and by the word of our testimonies (Rev. 12:11). Confirmation.
I have wanted to write forever. I have wanted to write a book. And all this time that I have had this dream in my heart, He has been the one giving me permission to share. In all my stories He is the hero. He is good and faithful. The stories, my stories tell how He turns everything from ashes into beauty. How He uses all things for his good. My stories are testimonies that people need to hear. Just like I need to hear other people's testimonies.
So for now I will write my stories.
